Cooperation is a key to success, especially when cooperating in challenging environments like health care. As workers in various fields cooperate effectively and efficiently, they will be able to cooperate with the intention of solving problems and achieving common objectives. Successful cooperation between various fields requires an eternal devotion to increasing cooperation as well as communication among various sectors of health care. This study will focus on the most common approaches to collaboration, which help in promoting interprofessional communication.

Interview Summary

I was fortunate enough to engage in discussions with one of my nurse colleagues who works at Riverside Care Hospital, which is a mid-sized specialized hospital dealing with emergency and long-term care. The nurse I spoke to, who works as a nursing supervisor, coordinates care with patients, oversees nurses, and coordinates interdepartmental communication. Among the significant issues that were raised was the coordination of care that is distributed between healthcare professionals, mainly those situations where patients are to be transferred between various departments or in cases where referrals need to be arranged for specialists who are outside (Khatri et al. 2023). The hospital tried to address the problem by adopting the framework of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and organizing workshops on communication methods on a regular basis. However, systematic efforts do not work because they are unreliable, and there is a lack of supervision in follow-up.

Collaboration is a key factor within the workplace in the working atmosphere at Riverside Care Hospital. There are problems when trying to apply these concepts in practice. Teamwork is a vital component of leadership, but interdisciplinary strategy is not always able to fulfill the needs for regular meetings as well as day-to-day routines (Henson et al. 2020). Members gave examples of effective multidisciplinary strategies that include the collaboration of social workers with case managers in formulating plans that help patients release themselves from unhealthy situations. Members further remarked that the success of such initiatives is likely to be non-unidirectional and not as part of the whole. The interview contributed much meaning to the limitations towards functional coordination of care. In comprehending any shortfall of the present practice and reaching consensus about the need for professionals' cooperation, all actors are ready for adjustments. It highlights the procedure of developing a new process that includes traditional communication processes and interprofessional group discussions that promote collaboration between medical staff, nurses, social workers, and other health professionals (Silvola and colleagues, 2024 ). Refreezing's last stage is applying the techniques in the company setting so that the practices are automatic and sustainable in the long term.

Lewin's Theory of Change provides a helpful approach to designing and managing the changes of health organisations. (Silvola, too. 2024, years 2024 ). Organisational groups can apply the same approach in order to address problems that are related to healthcare coordination and enhance co-working. Evidence of the validity of this theory is available through research studies and is widely applied in many health care settings in making changes in organizational structure. Campbell and Campbell (2020) show the efficacy of this term in promoting cooperation and augmenting outcomes for patients through the assistance of improving communication and cooperation between multidisciplinary teams. Using Lewin's Change Theory, the organization can create a health system that's integrated and improves patient safety and satisfaction.

Leadership Strategies That Could Lead to an Interdisciplinary Solution

A practical and proven leadership style that could provide an interprofessional approach to addressing the issue of care coordination, which is in abundance at Riverside Health System, is Collaborative Leadership (Simons et al., 2022). The style centers on the involvement of healthcare leaders who represent various disciplines, promoting active engagement of all group members and sharing decisions among members of the group. By creating a setting based on the faith of others, cooperation management promotes open communication and information sharing that is important in order to satisfy the needs of complex health patients. Strategies for treating patients are better when more than one health expert is involved in the team. Physicians, nurses, social professionals, therapists, and social workers all provide their perspectives in planning (Craig et al., 2020). The teamwork supports healthcare professionals to improve the quality of healthcare in all health centers.

Collaboration of interleadership is significant in ensuring issues in Riverside Health System lie in the potential that Riverside Health System possesses to construct an empowered, integrated health system. It is a good strategy in enabling an organization to solve the problems of coordination and communication among medical professionals, and ultimately enhance the quality of care for those in need (Simons and Co. 2022). Validity of such an approach can be demonstrated through several studies depicting that it can help facilitate cooperation among professionals, alongside reducing the risk of unwanted outcomes for patients. Cranley and Co. (2020) depict that collaboration can lead to enhanced group relationships and happier employees, which are crucial for their functionality in delivering quality health care. A company can maintain effective teams by operating together with management standards that adhere to the current practices of health care.

Collaboration Approaches for Interdisciplinary Teams

For solving the problem of care coordination that could be prevalent across various hospitals, initiating the best way to facilitate interprofessional cooperation is essential. Most effective practices include creating clear and consistent objectives for each team member, as well as ensuring there is effective communication, as well as being part of the group decision-making process (Cranley, as well as co., 2010).• If you share similar goals and objectives, you will ensure that health professionals tasked with the treatment of patients will be able to work together to achieve maximum outcomes. Successful communication through technology, including EHRs and regular meetings among interdisciplinary teams, will ensure that important information is passed on quickly and in time and reduce the risk of error or accident (Chance and colleagues, 2024 ). The relatives and patients can be consulted where their treatment is concerned, and this assists in making teams perform effectively since they can adapt their treatment plans to suit the special needs of each patient. This is an ideal solution as it gets rid of both obstacles in teamwork and provides assistance in patient integration and treatment.

The effectiveness of such methods in cooperation has been demonstrated in a number of studies, reflecting effectiveness in the enhancement of the outcomes that patients are provided with. Chance and colleagues (2024) exhibit the fact that healthcare staff cooperating might enhance communication and lower the number of mistakes made while performing medical procedures. They also enhanced patients' satisfaction. The study, or rather that carried out by Heip and co.
